And another weekend over. Didn't do much, but we had some family over this afternoon, for a late celebration of my nephew's birthday. I ate a lot and probably could roll around on the floor without problems - if I wanted. 'twas yummy. *g*

Thanks to takayajd who provided me with the first season I'll most likely start watching Legend of the Seeker later on (I kept missing it on TV). Unless I rather feel like continuing my second rewatch of Veronica Mars. That show doesn't get old (yet). Ah, fandom life. *g*

I'm gradually going through the "Star Trek" (new movie, just in case you're confused ;D) special features (to make caps for the Zach and Zoe sites) - so much love for that cast! :D
And I'm not sure I've mentioned it, but a dear friend turned me into a Gemma Arterton fangirl, and now I'm totally hot for next year's Prince of Persia and Clash of the Titans. *g* /random

In recent weeks, we've taken huge steps towards blocking spam accounts on LiveJournal. In fact, we've suspended as many as 30,000 accounts in a single day! We've implemented several pre-emptive measures to prevent the creation of spam accounts, and we've honed our detection of suspicious content. We had the first snow here yesterday - and I missed it. *shakes fist at work* When I came outside there was nothing left, no fair! Though the air still smelled snow-ish, that was something. *g*
No news on the jobfront yet, didn't get a call yesterday and today I was told they're still trying to make a decision. So it's either tomorrow or Monday. *twiddles thumbs impatiently*
In fandom-y news, I watched V yesterday and quite enjoyed it. I adored the original show when it aired here, I must have been 8 or 9. My memory of it is rather fuzzy and I actually don't dare to watch it again for fear of loosing that nostalgic fondness (it is an 80s tv show after all - I bet the dialogues were brilliant *ahem*). But yeah, apparently I was in the Sci-Fi fandom waaay early. ;D
Also, why on earth would anyone start hammering before 5am? The only excuse I can think of is that their bed was falling apart, but then again that's what couches are for. :P I'm really not good at this 'getting up early' thing.

i am: quixotic
I had a job interview today, which in itself was nice - been a while. ;) If they choose me it'll be a full time office job for about half a year (I'd be filling in for one of the secretaries on maternity leave), so less play time for sure. ;) The interview was a tad strange, cause they basically didn't ask me anything. Just told me what to expect, what they'd expect and have a nice day. I'm not yet sure how I feel about it, big change usually throws me off a little. *g* I'll learn tomorrow afternoon whether I got the job or not, and until then I try not to think about it (which isn't easy, and writing about it here doesn't help either, eh? ;D). Either way, it's a nice opportunity, but I won't break into tears if it doesn't work out - tune in tomorrow for more. *g*
